I met Bronwen in Atlanta at my frame shop. She was so gifted and one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. I moved to Florida soon after she did and we renewed our friendship. Knowing that she is gone, is like the world is a little dimmer. I have two wonderful paintings that she did for me in the 80s. They are treasures to me and to my family. My heart hurts with menories right now. God Bless you and I hope her works will cover the world.
I’m delighted to know that Bronwen’s legacy will continue. Her rabbits are my delight.
I discovered your mother’s art/cards at the Women’s Show in Spfd, Mo.
Her artwork is “heartwork”. Obviously from the heart.
I love the little animals and attention to detail.
Thank you for making her works available still.
Will be stopping by for purchases in the future! <:

Wow! What memories this brings back. Bronwen was my Moms cousin. I fell in love with the artwork she did. The detail is so awesome. The more you look at it the more things you find. Thanks for keeping this going!

For several years we used Browen’s calling design of the Dove for our business. We purchased the calling cards from The Flower Press which is no longer producing these beautiful cards. I have tried for years to see if anyone else may be making them. We had so many wonderful comments from everyone that left with one. I would so love it if we could get these made again. Could you please let me know so we can let others share in Browen’s beautiful art work. We will really miss her creative talents.
I worked with Bronwen at RDC Management in Plaza de Timbres on Meridian Street in Indianapolis in the 1980’s. I remember going to her little house on the river and was amazed at her collection of bird nests. She spoke so highly of her children and I remember her gift of art. I still have framed pictures she did from when she was featured in a magazine (Good Housekeeping?). I think of her often as I considered her a good friend. After she moved to Destin, we only remained in contact for a few years. I recall seeing her cards for sale in Nashville, Indiana and was so excited that I truly new ‘the artist’!
To this day I wear dark eyeliner just like Bronwen did!
She still has a place in my heart….always will.
Bronwen and I became pen pals when I was just 13 years old. Her flowers and furry friends initially captured my imagination but I never suspected such a friendship to develop through our correspondence. I wish we could have met face to face.
In 1987 my husband and I were visiting relatives in Fla. In the Jan. 22, 1987 issue of Playground Daily News, in the “Lifestyle” section, it highlighted Bronwen’s work and I just had to go to the store in The Market at Sandestin and find her work. We did, and I loved her cards.
I also framed and hung said newspaper article showing Bronwen’s drawing of a robin shielding a baby squirrel from a snowfall, on a branch of bright red apples. One of her treasured nests adorn a branch, holding a Christmas present inside. The robin wears a necklace of red holly berries and leaves.
I was so happy to see the advertisement in the Dec. issue of Victoria magazine. I can once again order some of her cards. Thank you for making that possible.
Your mom and I were neighbors and friends in Destin. She was my birth coach and was in the delivery room with me when I gave birth to my son Scott who is now 21 years old. Your mother was always generous to me. I loved it when she cleaned out her closets. I was quite happy to be the beneficiary of her wonderful outfits although I could never quite carry them off as well she did. I was also happy when she decided she didn’t want this household item or that. I still have many of the items that your mom gave to me. I have a full-length mirror that probably only cost a few dollars at a department store, but your mom painted the wood frame with wonderful wild roses and it looks like its worth a million dollars. I had heard that your mom passed and I searched all over the internet to see if I could find any information on her passing, but could not. Tonight, again, I tried. I googled her name and this page came up. Your mom loved you both so much and I am happy to see this page. Thank you for allowing those of us who knew your mom and cared for her to share our memories.
I have just acquired two prints of your mothers, they are awesome. I’ve not seen any other prints on your website like these. Are there any more available? We are planning on getting them reframed since there was some damage, but the prints seem ok.
Thank You,
Sharon Schaefer
I saw Bronwen’s artwork in Victoria magazine many years ago and loved it. We began a correspondence that was one of the joys of my life. She was generous beyond compare and sent me several of her prints and stationary sets. I still treasure them today.
I am so pleased to find your website…..I was looking again at my March, 1991 issue of Victoria magazine….I have many years collected it from the very first edition….and wanted to see if there was a website for your mother’s work. Back in ”91 there were no websites…at least not for your mother’s business. The good old days….slower and kinder, I think.
What a heartwarming thing you are doing with your mother’s art works…my mother, too, was a wonderful portrait painter….but she did large oils, leaving them with the people she painted….so her work is scattered over Nova Scotia and Bucks County, Pa. And in the homes of myself and my two sisters.
I can greatly sympathize and empathize with your family and your loss. You are doing a wonderfu thing for your departed mother’s memory and for us all.
Blessings,
Lynn M.
About a month ago, I was at home in my parents’ backyard in their hammock. I was dozing off, listening to my dad ramble, when he told me that I looked like Aunt Bronwen. It made me so happy, and so sad at the same time. Then, while watching a golf tournament a couple of weeks ago, he told me the same thing again. He says lots of times when I smile, and sometimes when I’m talking, he thinks I look like her. It makes me feel so honored, and I start reminiscing about the few wonderful times I had with her. I come to this website often, just to browse and remember. Thanks for doing this, guys. Hope you had a good time with Marc last week 🙂
I had the honor of sharing Bronwen’s life for a short time.Though we went our seperate ways after the divorce I don’t think a single day passed that I din’t think of her and miss her being a part of my life.
I will forever be greatful for the time we had together and she will forever live in my heart.
She was truly ONE OF A KIND.
I am Ken’s daughter, and I met Bronwen in Florida while visiting my Dad. I had just become a mom to my first child, and he was a terror.
I remember her being very patient and helpful with advice on mothering. She was so talented, and I know all of those who knew and loved her will have a big space in their hearts from the loss. God bless you, you are in my thought and prayers.
Bronwen, I am sure wherever you are there is now a big bright spot!
Peace be with you,
Kim Rooker-Petrocky
Hi. I started collecting cards about 15 years ago. Imagine my suprise when I discovered a friend of mine, Jim Edwards of Orange Park Florida, was her uncle. I had hoped one day to get to meet your Mother. I am very sorry I didn’t get the chance.
I was looking at my collection of her cards today and showing them to a friend. Most of them was collected when Centaworld was producing them. I look at the artwork and turn green with envy knowing I will never become close to being as great as she was. I am glad that I now have the chance to acquire more.
